You can find Gems Technologies over at No-9, 4th Cross in the Doddanna Industrial Estate. Peenya is a big place, and it’s easy to get lost, but we’ve been in this corner for a good while now. It’s an industrial area, so it’s noisy and dusty most of the time. We don’t mind it much. That’s just the sound of work being done. We handle various technology-related tasks here. It’s not fancy work, but it needs to be done right. Our shop is filled with tools and parts and scraps from old jobs. We spend most of our hours looking at small components or fixing machinery that’s acting up. It gets really hot in the afternoons, especially in the summer months. We usually just keep the fans going and keep working through it. There are a few of us here who have been working together for years. We know each other's habits by now. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in Peenya. We just want to do our bit and go home at the end of the day. Sometimes a customer brings in something we haven't seen before, and we have to spend some time scratching our heads over it. But we usually figure it out eventually with some trial and error. We don't have a marketing department. People just know us from being around the industrial estate. It's a simple operation. Just the way we like it.
