My office is located at 99 Vijaya Nagar, in the area known as Dhobi Talao. We are quite near the BSNL Telephone Exchange, which is a big building that everyone knows. The office itself is on a street that sees a lot of foot traffic. Inside, it’s exactly what you would expect from a legal office. There are stacks of files on the desk and books lined up on the shelves. It’s a lot of reading and drafting papers every day. Legal work can be quite slow and tedious, but it’s what we do here. The furniture is a bit old and the chairs creak when you sit down, but it serves the purpose. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of people to help with the filing and the typing. Often, I have to be away at the courts for most of the day, so the office might be closed during those hours. People usually call ahead to see if I’m in. We drink a lot of tea while going through cases. It’s not a glamorous job, and there’s a lot of pressure with deadlines and court dates. The neighborhood is okay, though it gets very noisy with the traffic from the BSNL side. We just focus on the paperwork and try to keep everything in order. It’s a small, practical space for handling the local legal matters.
