Finding our office can be a bit of a challenge if you aren’t from around Ejipura. We’re located at 52, Divine Favor, which is on the 21st Cross. You have to take the second left on Buchappa Road to get to us. It’s a typical Bangalore neighborhood, lots of narrow streets and houses packed together. The building is called Divine Favor, but inside it’s just us and our computers. We deal with info systems and data, so there’s a constant hum of servers and cooling fans that fills the room. It’s a bit of a cramped space in Viveknagar, with cables running along the floor and across the desks. We try to keep it organized with cable ties, but it’s a losing battle most weeks. The light in the office is a bit dim because of the tall buildings around us, so we always have the overhead tubes on. Rain in Bangalore usually means the power might flicker, so we’ve got our UPS systems standing by like little soldiers. We’re not some big IT giant in a glass tower; we’re just a small team working out of an apartment-style office. Most days we eat lunch together at our desks while watching something on a screen. It’s a tight-knit group and we know all the quirks of this old building, like which window doesn’t close right or which tile is loose.
