Gayatri Silks

You can find Gayatri Silks at 5 Cubbonpet Main Road in Tilak Nagar. It’s a busy street and there is always something going on outside our door. We sell silks and fabrics to people who come by. The shop is filled with different colors and textures. It’s not a big fancy place, just a regular shop where we keep the shelves stocked. Tilak Nagar is a crowded area, so we get a lot of foot traffic. We spend our time folding cloth and showing people the different patterns. It’s a lot of standing around and talking. Sometimes the shop gets really full and it feels a bit tight, but we manage. We’ve been at this spot for quite some time now. We know the other shopkeepers on Cubbonpet Main Road and we often share a cup of tea in the afternoons. It’s a simple life. We don't do anything too complicated. Just buying and selling silk. The fabric is beautiful but it’s hard work keeping everything clean and sorted. Dust is always a problem on the main road. We just try to keep the shop looking okay. If you’re walking down the road, you’ll see our sign. We are usually here until late evening. It’s just us doing what we know how to do, day in and day out.
