Our office is located at number 71 on 4th Cross in SBM Colony, which is part of Banashankari 1st Stage here in Bangalore. It’s a nice enough neighborhood and we’ve been here for a good amount of time. We’re just a group of people who like to design buildings and see them get built. It’s not always glamorous work. A lot of it is just sitting around debating which way a door should swing or looking at boring structural drawings to make sure everything is safe. We work on all sorts of things, some bigger than others, but we treat them all about the same. We spend a lot of time talking to clients and trying to understand what they actually want, even when they aren't quite sure themselves. It involves a lot of patience. Sometimes the weather gets in the way of a site visit, or we have to deal with some local paperwork that takes forever to clear. We just keep pushing through it. We don't have any corporate slogans or anything like that. We just come in, do the work, and hope the people who end up living in the spaces we design are happy with them. The office is usually a bit cluttered with rolls of drawings and half-finished models, but that’s just how we like to work. It feels like a real workshop.
