We are Garment Valley India Private Limited. You can find us at 130/1 on the 10th Cross. We are part of the Pete Chennappa Industrial Estate in the Kamakshi Palaya area, near Magadi Road. Being in an industrial estate means it’s pretty gritty. There are other workshops all around us making different things. Our place is always full of the smell of new fabric and the oil we use for the machines. It’s a big space but it feels small because of all the boxes and the rolls of cloth we keep in stock. We have a lot of people coming in and out, delivery guys and workers. The floor is concrete and it’s seen a lot of wear over the years. We usually have the big shutters open to let in the light. It gets quite dusty because of the industrial area, so we are always wiping down the machines before we start. We aren't a high-end boutique or anything. We just make clothes in bulk. The workers here are like family; we eat lunch together in the common area. We’ve been in Kamakshi Palaya for a long time. It’s a loud place with the sound of hammers and engines from the neighbors, but it’s our corner of the city. We don't use any fancy talk to describe what we do. We just get the orders done and get them out the door on time.
