Lilly Apparels

Lilly Apparels is on the second floor of No. 168 in the 1st Block of Gargopalya. It’s an industrial sort of area, and our building is right in the middle of it. When you walk up the stairs, you can hear the sewing machines humming away. We have rolls of fabric leaning against the walls and stacks of finished clothes waiting to be packed. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the cutting tables and the racks. We spend our days checking the stitching and making sure the sizes are right. It’s a lot of manual work, and our hands are usually busy with threads and needles. We aren't a big fashion house with a runway. We’re just a factory floor where real work happens. The lighting isn't great in some corners, but we have lamps over the machines to see the fine details. We take breaks together and talk about our families or what’s happening in the neighborhood. Some of the machines are old and a bit temperamental, so we have to keep an eye on them throughout the shift. When a big order is due, we stay late and the whole place is a blur of movement. It’s a simple life of making clothes, and we’ve been doing it this way for a long time now. We just pack the boxes, label them, and get them ready for the truck to pick up tomorrow.
