H. N Travels

H. N Travels is based in Gandhi Nagar at No. 3 Sujatha Complex on 1st Main Road. It’s a small office but it stays quite busy with people coming in to ask about tickets and trips. We have been here for a while and we know the neighborhood pretty well. The walls are mostly covered with maps and calendars to keep track of everyone’s bookings. We don’t have a high-tech setup; it’s mostly just us on the phone and checking schedules on the computer. Sometimes the printer jams or the phone won't stop ringing, but we just handle it as it comes. It’s a local place where you can just sit down and talk about where you need to go. We handle a lot of local travel and some longer trips too. We don’t use any big corporate scripts when we talk to people. We just tell them what the options are and how much it’s going to cost. It can get a bit loud in the Sujatha Complex when the street is full of traffic, but we are used to it by now. We usually have some tea and try to make sure every traveler has their papers in order before they leave. It’s simple work, but it keeps us on our toes. Most of the regulars just drop in to say hello even if they aren't going anywhere.
