We do project management consultancy, which sounds a bit formal, but really it just means we help keep construction and development projects on schedule. We spend a lot of our time looking at blueprints, talking to contractors, and visiting sites to see how things are coming along. Pondicherry is a bit slower-paced than the big cities, but there is still plenty of work to be done. Our office on Kaveri Street is where we do all the planning and the paperwork. It’s not a huge place, just a few rooms where we can sit down and focus on the numbers and the timelines. We don’t really go in for big marketing campaigns. Most of our work comes from people who know what we do and trust us to handle their projects. We deal with a lot of local regulations and technical requirements, so it keeps us pretty busy. The weather here can be quite hot, so we usually get a lot of the site work done early in the morning. We’ve been part of the Lawspet community for a while and we like being here. It’s straightforward work. We help people build things and make sure the projects don’t fall apart or go too far over budget. Our team is small and we prefer it that way so we can actually stay involved.
