Front Office Asst

I spend my days at the front desk of S R K Samrudhi Suites, which is located in Dodda Thogur Village. This is right in the middle of Electronic City Phase 1 in Bangalore. The address is 94/1, and it’s a place where people stay when they are here for work. My job is mostly about checking people in and out and answering the phone when it rings. The lobby can get quite busy in the mornings when everyone is trying to leave for their offices at the same time. Electronic City has a lot of traffic, so I often hear people complaining about how long it took them to get here. The suites are just regular rooms for travelers. I sit behind the counter and handle the keys and the registration forms. It’s not a fancy corporate job, just everyday service work. Sometimes the printer jams or the computer is slow, and I have to ask the guests to wait a minute. We have a lot of regulars who come back every month. Dodda Thogur Village has changed a lot with all these new buildings, but it still has its local feel. I just try to be helpful and make sure people have their room keys. It’s a practical job, and I’m just one of the staff members making sure things run okay at the front. We just stay focused on getting the work done every day.
