About Freelance Fashion Designer – Fashion & Trends in Bengaluru
I work on my designs at my place on Hennur Main Road. It’s in Varasia Colony, number 25. I’ve always liked making clothes since I was a little kid. It started as a hobby and then it became my job after I finished school. I have a room full of fabric, thread, and half-finished projects. Sometimes it gets a bit messy when I’m in the middle of a big project. I spend a lot of time sketching and then trying to make those sketches into something people can actually wear comfortably. It’s not like the movies; there’s a lot of pinning, unpicking, and sewing things over again. I talk to people about what they want to wear for weddings or family parties. I don't have a big shop window or a sign outside. Most people hear about me from their friends or neighbors. I live and work in the same area, which makes it easy for me to get things done. Varasia is a busy spot with lots of shops. I like to go out and see what people are wearing on the street to get new ideas. I don't follow all the big trends from the magazines. I just make what looks good on real people and feels comfortable. Sometimes the sewing machine acts up and I have to stop and fix it myself. I’ve learned to be patient with it over the years. My workspace is small, but I know where everything is kept. I just take things day by day.
