First City Travels & Cargo

We’ve been at No.55 on Blue Cross Road for quite some time now. This part of Infantry Road gets pretty loud with all the traffic, but we’re used to it. Most mornings start with us opening the shutters and checking the list of what needs to go where. It’s a lot of boxes and travel bookings. We don’t have a massive team, just a few of us here making sure things move along. Sometimes people just walk in off the street because they’re passing by and need to ship something. We keep a stack of forms and some tape handy. It's not the most glamorous work, but it keeps us busy. The Bangalore heat can get to you in the afternoons, so we usually have the fan going full blast. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, more cars and new shops popping up nearby. We just stay focused on the cargo and the travel plans people bring us. If a package is late because of a truck delay, we have to spend time on the phone figuring it out. That’s just how it goes here. We aren't doing anything fancy, just the basic work of getting people and their stuff from one place to another. You can find us right there on the corner where things are always moving. It’s just a normal day-to-day operation for us. We've got a lot of old ledgers and some newer computers, but the way we do things hasn't changed much.
