First Choice Hotels & Resorts

We are based out of Muvattupuzha in the Ernakulam district of Kerala. Anju and the rest of the family have been involved with First Choice Hotels & Resorts for quite a while now. Our office is actually located at the Ponganathil house in Mekkadambu. It is a bit different from the big hotel chains you see in the middle of the city because we are more about that personal, local feel that you get in this part of the country. We spend a lot of our time talking to potential guests on the phone and trying to figure out which resort or hotel would actually suit their specific trip. Whether it is for a big family wedding or just a short weekend break, we look through the different options we have available. Being in Ernakulam gives us a good base to know exactly what is happening in the local tourism scene. It is not a high-rise office building with a lot of glass; it is more of a home-grown business where we take our time to talk to people. We do not use a lot of scripted sales talk or fancy marketing brochures. We just tell people what the different places are really like and let them make their own decisions. Sometimes the phone lines are not great or we are busy out visiting the properties, but we always try to get back to everyone eventually.
