Fie-Tech

We are tucked away at 123, 6th Main, 6th Cross in Chamarajpet. It’s a classic Bangalore neighborhood, and we’ve been part of it for a good while. Fie-Tech is a technical shop, mostly. We have tools and equipment scattered around because we are always in the middle of some project or another. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find people in suits. We usually have grease on our hands or dust on our clothes by noon. The street outside is usually busy with scooters and people walking to the local shops. We have a small crew, just a few of us who understand how the machines work. Sometimes the neighbors pop in just to say hello or ask for a quick favor with a tool. We don't have a big fancy sign or a receptionist. If the door is open, you just walk in and find someone. We spend a lot of time tinkering and trying to get things to fit just right. It’s satisfying work when a machine finally starts running smooth after hours of messing with it. We don't really think about things in terms of corporate goals. We just want to finish the job that's in front of us so we can move on to the next one. After we close up, we usually stand around outside for a bit before heading home. It’s just how we do things here.
