Fastrack Design

Our work happens at 16/A, 2nd Cross, in the New Bank Colony of Konanakunte here in Bangalore. It is a quiet residential street for the most part, which helps when we need to focus on drawing things out. We have a couple of desks pushed against the walls and some computers that have seen better days but still get the job done. I started this in this part of Bangalore because it’s where I live, and I didn't want a long commute. The office is small, so we have to be organized or we run out of space for our prints and samples. We spend a lot of time looking at screens and arguing over where a line should go or what color looks right. It’s not a glamorous life, but we like making things from scratch. Neighbors walk their dogs past the gate while we’re working late into the evening. Sometimes we have clients come by, but usually we just send things back and forth through the mail or online. The kitchen in the back is where we spend most of our breaks, drinking way too much coffee to stay awake. It’s just a few of us trying to make good designs that people can actually use. We don't have a big sign outside or anything, just a small nameplate on the gate. It’s a humble setup but it suits us just fine and we enjoy the quiet neighborhood.
