Our place is at B-6 in the Gogappa Layout, which is part of the Industrial Cottage area in Kg Halli. It is a bit of a trek to get here if you don't know the way. The building is an old industrial cottage style, so it has high ceilings and a lot of space for our equipment. We have a few heavy-duty machines that we use for the tougher fabrics. It’s not the kind of place you’d come for a fancy shopping experience. It’s a workshop, plain and simple. We have the survey number 51 on our papers, which is how most people find us if they are looking for the exact spot. The floor is concrete and shows a lot of wear from the years of moving stuff around. We have a small staff of local people from around Kg Halli. They walk to work or take the bus. We don't have big meetings or corporate goals. We just look at what needs to be sewn today and we get to it. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a batch, but we don't mind too much. There is a small tea stall just outside the gates where we take our breaks. The work is repetitive, but there is something nice about seeing a finished garment at the end of the day. We just try to do a solid job and keep the machines oiled. We’ve been in this layout for quite some time now, and we’ve seen shops come and go, but we just keep doing what we know.
