Fabs

We are located over in the Nwe Manjunathalayout area of Bangalore. Most people just call us Fabs. It’s a small operation, really. We don't have a giant team or a glass building. It’s just a regular space where we keep our tools and materials. Bangalore has changed a lot lately, but this little pocket of the layout stays pretty much the same. We spend most of our mornings getting things organized for the day's tasks. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit and talk until it comes back on. It’s not the most efficient way to run things, but it’s how it goes here. We handle different kinds of fabrication jobs, mostly whatever the neighbors or local businesses need. The workspace is a bit cramped because we keep adding more shelves for supplies. You might have to step over a box or two if you come inside. We don't have a receptionist; usually, one of us just wipes their hands on a rag and comes to see what you need. It’s a practical setup. We’ve lived in this city our whole lives, so we know the shortcuts and where to get the best parts when we run out. It's a bit messy, and the walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but the work gets done and that's what matters to us and the folks we help. There is always a lot of noise from the street, but you get used to it.
