Excutive

The office for Excutive is at number 62 in Vijayanagar. It’s located in Virajpet Taluk within the Kodagu district. Most of us here have grown up in this area. We’ve seen the seasons change many times from these windows. The road out front gets a bit muddy when the monsoon hits Kodagu. We have a small porch where we leave our umbrellas before coming inside. The walls are painted a light cream color that’s starting to peel a bit near the ceiling. We have a few plastic chairs for when visitors come by. Usually, it’s just the three of us in here. We talk about the local news while we work on the ledgers. The fans overhead make a clicking sound that you stop noticing after ten minutes. It’s a quiet life in Virajpet. Sometimes we close up a little early if there's a local festival or a wedding in the village. It’s not a corporate life at all. We know the people at the post office and the guy who sells tea down the lane. Everything is slow but it gets done. We have an old computer that takes a long time to boot up in the morning. We usually have our first cup of coffee while we wait for it to be ready. That’s just the way things go for us here at the office. We don't have many visitors, so we keep the gate shut most of the day.
