We’ve been here at Plot No. 340 in the Peenya Industrial Area for a while now. Most mornings start with the sound of trucks backing into the 9th Cross, trying to navigate the 4th Phase traffic. It gets pretty loud and dusty, but that’s just how it is in this part of Bengaluru. Inside Excelon Technologies, we usually have the fans going full blast by ten because the shed gets warm. The guys spend most of the day on the floor, dealing with whatever work came in the day before. It’s not a fancy place, just a practical workshop where things get done. There’s a tea stall just down the road where we all go around four o'clock. You can hear the machines from other units humming constantly in the background while you stand there. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait it out or fix what we can by hand. We don’t have any big corporate offices or anything, just the main desk near the entrance where the bills are kept. It's a lot of manual work and checking measurements over and over. By the time we pull the shutters down in the evening, everyone’s usually tired and ready for the commute home. Peenya is a tough place to work because of the congestion, but we’ve made our spot here over the years. It’s honest work, and the people around here know us by name now.
