Koramangala 6th Block is where we spend our days, specifically at 205 on the 2nd Cross. It’s a decent area, though finding parking for the trucks can be a real pain some mornings. We handle gas and various types of equipment, so there’s usually some clanking of metal going on in the background. It’s not the quietest office you’ll ever find. Our space is filled with catalogs, spare parts, and a few dusty cabinets that have been here since the company started. Most of the guys have been with Excel Gas for years, so we all know how the others take their coffee. We don’t have any fancy decorations or a reception area with a big sign. If you walk in, you’re likely to just see someone hunched over a ledger or talking on a landline phone. The 2nd Cross gets quite a bit of shade in the afternoon, which is nice because it keeps the office from getting too stuffy. We usually close up around six, unless there’s a late delivery we need to sort out. It’s honest work, and we just try to get things done without making a big fuss about it. Sometimes the neighbors come by to chat, or we go out for a quick smoke break near the main road. It’s just a regular group of people doing their jobs in a part of town we really like. It feels like home to us after all these years of working here together.
