Evya Fabrication & Aluminium Work

You can find our workshop at 15/3 Devanachikkanhalli, right on the Spencer Road Cross. We are very close to the bus stop, so you can often hear the buses pulling in and out while we are working. We do a lot of fabrication work here, mostly using aluminium for windows and office partitions. The shop is always a bit noisy because of the cutting machines and the sound of metal hitting the floor. It is a practical space, filled with long poles of aluminium and sheets of glass leaning against the walls. We spend most of the day measuring things out and cutting them to size for people’s houses or small shops. We have been doing this for a long time, so we know how to handle the materials without wasting much. Sometimes we are out at a customer's site installing a gate or a window frame, so the shop might be closed for a couple of hours in the middle of the day. It is just honest labor, really. We don't have a fancy showroom or any sales people. Everything we make is right there on the workbench. The floor is usually covered in small metal scraps, which we have to sweep up every evening before we head home. If someone needs a simple repair or a whole new frame, they just come by the shop and we talk about the dimensions and the cost for the job.
