About Aluminium & Hardware Centre – Building & Construction Material in Bengaluru
Down at Killari Road 88, you’ll find us at the Aluminium & Hardware Centre. Killari Road is always a mess of people and carts, so it’s never quiet around here. The shop is narrow but deep, packed from floor to ceiling with bits of metal and boxes of screws. You have to know exactly where things are, or you’ll spend an hour looking for a single hinge. I’ve lived in this city my whole life, and working here feels like being right in the middle of everything. We handle a lot of aluminium tracks and frames. They’re light but they take up a lot of space. Sometimes we have to move half the inventory just to get a ladder out from the back. The light inside is a bit dim because the buildings are so close together, so we use these bright shop lights that make everything glint. It’s a bit dusty, especially when someone is cutting a piece to size in the back. The sound of the saw cutting through metal is a sharp, high screech that scares the birds away. We get all kinds of people coming in—contractors, homeowners, and folks who just need one specific bolt. We don't do fancy displays. If you want to see something, we just pull it out of the box and show it to you. It’s a practical way of doing things. We stay open late most days because people always forget they need hardware until the last minute.
