Everjoy & Co

We are located right on Commercial Street, which is probably one of the busiest places you could choose to be. Our building is No 37, called the Everyjoy Building. It’s right near where C Krishnaiah Chetty & Sons is, so that’s a good landmark if you’re trying to find us. Commercial Street is always a bit of a whirlwind. There are shoppers everywhere, people trying to park their scooters, and sellers calling out. Being in our own building helps a bit, but it’s still very much in the thick of it. The shop has been around for quite a while. It’s got that old-fashioned feel where things aren’t perfectly polished, but everything has its place. We don’t use any of those modern marketing tricks. We just open the doors and help whoever comes in. Sometimes it gets so crowded on the street that you can barely see the storefront, but we don't mind. It’s part of the charm of being in this area. Inside, it’s a bit quieter than the street, but not by much. We have a small staff who have been with us for years. We know the other shopkeepers on the block and we all just try to get through the day. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the pace of Commercial Street, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We just do our best to stay organized and keep the shutters open for our customers.
