Engineer

We've been here at 18 Middlestreet in Mannaruram for a while now. It's a busy part of Trichy, and people around here just know us as Engineer. We handle the day-to-day work that comes through the door. Sometimes it’s quiet, and other times the phone won’t stop ringing, but that’s just how it goes in this line of work. Most of the folks who stop by are from around the neighborhood or the nearby parts of Tamil Nadu. We don't have fancy offices. It's just a practical space where we get things done. You can find us pretty easily if you know the street. Usually, someone is around to answer questions or look at whatever needs fixing. We've seen a lot of changes in the area over the years, but we've stayed right here in the same spot. It’s not a complicated operation. We just open up in the morning and work until the jobs for the day are finished. We try to keep things simple because that's what works for us and the people we help. There's no big corporate board, just a few of us making sure everything runs like it's supposed to. We’ve got our tools and our desks, and we focus on the task at hand without much fuss. Sometimes the rain gets loud on the roof, but we don’t mind. It’s just part of being in Trichy. We’ve got a little kettle in the back for tea. We don't worry about being the most modern, we just want to do the job right so people come back next time. That’s pretty much our story.
