The address is 52 Ramachandra Nilaya, over in the Kirloskar Layout in Hesaraghatta. People just call us Eng. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here depending on where you are coming from in Bangalore, but we actually like having the extra space. It’s more of a workshop feel than a corporate office environment. We have various bits of equipment lying around and the smell of grease and metal is pretty common around the shop. It’s definitely not the kind of place where you wear a suit and tie. Most of us are in old t-shirts and jeans because we are actually working with our hands most of the time. The building itself is just a regular structure in the layout. We’ve got some neighbors who are residential and some other small businesses nearby. We try to keep the noise down during the odd hours so we don't bother anyone living next door. The fans in the ceiling are always spinning to keep the heat away, but it still gets quite warm in the afternoons. There isn't a big sign outside or anything fancy like that. If you are looking for us, you usually have to check the house numbers carefully or you'll miss it. We spend our days fixing things or putting parts together. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes we stay late if a job is taking longer than we thought it would. It’s just what we do here in this corner of the city.
