If you go to the 6th Main in Vijayanagara, you will find us at number 638. This is where Emacmillan Software Services runs from. Bangalore-40 is a busy area, and our street sees a lot of traffic during the morning hours. We have a modest setup here. It’s basically just a bunch of computers and a few chairs in a room where we write code and fix bugs. The walls are a plain color and we have some old files stacked in the corner. It is a very practical place to work. We don't have fancy coffee machines or lounge areas like the big tech companies do. Most of us just grab a coffee from the stall around the corner when we need a quick break. We’ve been in Vijayanagara for some time now. The neighborhood has changed a bit over the years, but our office feels the same. We like that it's easy to get to by bus or scooter. The work we do is mostly technical, so we spend a lot of time staring at monitors. Sometimes we get frustrated when things don't work right, but that's just the nature of software services. We are just regular people trying to make a living in the city. It's not a glamorous life, but it works for us. We keep our heads down and get through the list of tasks every day. The office stays fairly cool even when it’s hot outside because of the way the building is tucked in.
