Elgee Fashions

We've been running Elgee Fashions at Door No. 40 and 8816 here on MG Road for a while now. Most days it is just us sorting through the racks and making sure everything is in the right place. MG Road gets really busy during the afternoons, so we usually try to get the cleaning done early before the first few people walk in. It’s not a huge place, but there is enough space for the different styles we keep in stock. Sometimes the light in the back isn't the best, though we manage. People around here know where to find us easily. There isn't much fancy stuff going on, mostly just keeping the shelves filled. Folding and re-folding takes up a lot of time, honestly. The street noise is constant, but you get used to it after a week or two. Regulars often stop by just to see what came in on the latest truck. Our staff is small, just a few of us making sure things don't get too messy. The floors need a sweep every few hours because of the dust from the road outside. Shirts and pants are hanging up all over the place. It feels like we are always moving things around to make more room. It's just a normal shop on a normal street. Keeping things simple is what we do. Sometimes we drink tea in the back when it's quiet. That's pretty much how it goes here every day. We hope you find what you need.
