Eland Apparel

Eland Apparel is over at No. 16/2B in the Sri Vinayaka Industrial Estate. This is down in Singasandra, right off the main Hosur Road. If you know this area, you know it is mostly warehouses and small factories. We fit right in with the rest of them. The building is basic, just a place to house the machines and the stacks of fabric. We spend our days dealing with production runs and checking the stitching on various garments. Hosur Road is always packed with traffic, so we have to plan our shipping very carefully to avoid getting stuck for hours. The industrial estate is a bit hidden behind some other buildings, but it is a good spot for what we do. Inside, it is usually a mix of the sound of industrial needles and people talking over the noise of the fans. We don't have any big signs or flashy entrances. It is just an honest workspace where we get things done. Some of the guys have been here since we first opened the doors years ago. We deal with a lot of different orders, so the floor plan changes depending on what we are making that week. It is practical work and can be quite tiring. We aren't trying to be anything other than a garment unit that stays busy. The weather gets hot in the afternoons, but we keep the lines moving. It is just life in the Singasandra industrial patch.
