E-Inn, Bangalore

E-Inn is actually run out of Alappatt House, which is in Alappad P.O. in Thrissur, Kerala. Even though the name says Bangalore, this is where the main office stuff happens. It’s a bit of a quiet spot in Kerala, zip code 680641. My family has been in this house for a long time. We handle the paperwork and the background stuff for the inn from here. It’s a regular house, nothing fancy about it. Sometimes the mail gets mixed up because people see Bangalore in the name but the address is here in Thrissur. We spend our days answering calls and keeping track of the books. The weather here is usually nice, but it gets very rainy during the monsoon. We don't have a big office building or a bunch of suits. It’s just us working from the home office. It’s practical for us. We started this business because we had the space and the interest. It’s not a giant chain or anything like that. Just a small business based out of a real home. We deal with things as they come up. If there’s a problem at the inn, we handle it from here via phone or email. It’s a simple way to work. We don't spend money on big ads. We just keep things moving along and hope for the best. Most of our neighbors just know us as the Alappatt family, not a company. We like it this way and keep things humble.
