Being at Residency Road 1 means we are right where all the action is. It’s a big street and we are at the very start of it. E D O India is basically a place where we handle our daily business operations without much fuss. The office at number 1 is a bit older than some of the new glass buildings further down the road. We have windows that look out onto the traffic, which can get pretty loud during the morning rush hour. It’s mostly just desks, computers, and people talking on the phone about various projects. We don't have any big signs or anything to attract attention. People who need to find us usually know the way already. The stairs are a bit narrow and the elevator sometimes has a mind of its own, so we usually just walk up. We’ve been here for a while, so we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. There used to be fewer cars on Residency Road, but now it’s a constant stream from morning until night. We mostly just focus on our own tasks and keeping the files organized in the cabinets. It’s a practical space for work. We don't spend money on decorations that don't help us get the work done. Most of us bring lunch from home and eat together. It’s just a regular workplace where we get our stuff finished. The central location is helpful for meetings though. We lock up around six.
