Durgaparameswari Fancy & Gift Centre

Our shop is located at 2 Vidyaranyapura and we have been here for a good while now. Durgaparameswari Fancy & Gift Centre is just a regular local place where we sell all sorts of things like bangles, toys, and small gifts for kids. The name is a bit of a mouthful, I know, but most people in the neighborhood just call us the gift shop on the corner. The shelves are pretty packed and sometimes it is hard to find exactly what you are looking for without asking me or my brother. We try to keep things organized but when new stock comes in from the market, boxes end up piled in the aisles for a day or two. It is a bit dusty sometimes because of the road right outside, but we sweep every morning before opening. We get a lot of school children coming in for stickers or pens, and then in the evenings, it is mostly parents looking for a birthday present. We don't have any fancy displays or bright neon signs. It’s just a simple shop with wooden counters and a lot of items hanging from the ceiling to save space. Some of the plastic toys have been on the top shelf for a while, but eventually, someone always finds a use for them. We are open most days from ten until eight, unless there is a family thing going on. It is a quiet life but we like seeing the same faces every week. We try to keep the prices low so people come back.
