Over at 2, Kempegowda Industrial Layout, you’ll find us tucked away near Kamakshipalya. The name on the door says Dreams And Ideas, which sounds a lot fancier than the actual workshop looks. Being on Magadi Main Road means we’re always dealing with the heavy truck traffic and the noise that comes with it. The floors are concrete and usually have a layer of dust or some shavings on them from whatever we were working on that morning. It’s a busy industrial area, so there’s always the sound of someone nearby using a drill or a hammer. We don’t have any big flashy signs or a lobby with comfortable chairs. Mostly, it’s just a big open space where we try to turn thoughts into actual things you can touch. The roof gets really loud when it rains, making it hard to hear anyone talking. We usually just keep our heads down and get through the tasks. Sometimes we run out of space and have to stack things up near the entrance, which makes getting in and out a bit of a squeeze. It’s not a perfect setup, but it’s been our home for a while now. We know all the neighbors and where to get the best snacks during the afternoon slump. It’s a tough, honest way to spend the day. We just stay focused on the work at hand and hope the traffic isn't too bad when it's time to head home.
