Our place, Dravidian Techmind Private Limited, is tucked away in Thunga Layout, specifically at 49/1 on the 5th Cross. This area is part of Bettadasanapura, which is off the main Electronic City Road in Bangalore. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the main city, but it’s right in the middle of where a lot of stuff is happening now. The 560100 area is constantly under construction, so there is usually some dust and the sound of hammers nearby. Our building is a standard layout for this part of Bangalore. We don’t have any flashy signs or big lights. The 5th Cross is narrow, so parking a car can be a real headache some days. Most of us just take the bus or ride bikes. Inside, it’s just a regular workspace with some desks and a small corner for making coffee. It gets pretty busy during the middle of the week. We see the same faces every day walking to the local food stalls for lunch. Electronic City Road is always jammed with traffic, so we try to get in early to avoid the worst of it. The layout itself is fairly quiet once you get off the main road. It’s just a practical spot for us to handle our daily tasks. We’ve been here for a bit and the neighbors know us. It’s a basic office for a small team doing what we do. We have some old monitors and some newer ones mixed together on the tables. The tea break is the best part of the afternoon when we all step out.
