Dotcom Technologies is based on Mahathma Gandhi Road, which is pretty much the heart of everything. Being on MG Road means it’s always busy outside our windows. We’ve seen the street change quite a bit over the years. Inside, it’s a different story. We keep things pretty simple. There are a bunch of computers and a few servers that hum all day long. We do a lot of tech support and general IT work for various people who need help. It’s the kind of job where you never know what the next phone call will be about. Sometimes it’s a quick fix and other times it takes all afternoon to figure it out. We don’t have a fancy logo on the wall or expensive furniture. Most of our stuff is just functional. We eat lunch together when we can, usually bringing food from home or getting something quick from a nearby shop. It’s a tight space, so we all know each other’s business quite well. We don’t bother with big speeches or empty promises. If something is broken, we try to fix it as best as we can. If it can’t be fixed, we just say so. That’s how we’ve always done it here. It’s a lot of staring at monitors and typing, but we don't mind the routine. It pays the bills and keeps us busy throughout the week. We just keep doing what we know.
