Our office is tucked away on 5th Cross in the East of NGEF Layout, which is part of Kasturi Nagar in Bangalore. It is a busy place where we handle a lot of the corporate and administrative side of the business. You can find Naveen.R at 5C, 144, usually surrounded by files and talking on the phone with people from different project sites. The building is a bit older, and the stairs are narrow, but it has been our base for quite some time. We deal with a lot of infrastructure and engineering related paperwork here, so there is always a printer humming in the background. Kasturi Nagar has become much more crowded recently, and the traffic on the way to the office can be a real mess some days. We have a landline and a mobile number that never stops ringing with queries about various projects across India. It’s not a place for visitors really, just a working office where we get through the daily tasks. We spend a lot of time coordinating between the guys on the field and the clients. The lunchroom is just a small corner where we sit and eat our tiffins. It’s a no-nonsense kind of environment where everyone knows what they have to do. We don't really have a big reception area, just desks and cupboards full of records. It’s a typical Bangalore office setup. Sometimes the water cooler breaks down and we have to wait a day for the repairman to show up. We just keep working through it.
