Divya Mallepula Venkata

Ameerpet is always moving fast. If you know Hyderabad, you know how it is. We are located at Plot 7 in Aparajitha Colony. The house number is 388. It’s a bit of a relief to be in the colony because the main road is so loud. Divya Mallepula Venkata is the name we use for everything. We have a small setup here. It’s basically just a room with enough space for our desks and a small cupboard for files. We don't have a big sign outside. It’s more of a personal thing. We usually start the day with some water from the cooler and a look at what needs to be done. It’s not a fancy office with a view. We mostly see the wall of the next building or the trees in the colony. We aren't trying to impress anyone with expensive carpets. The floor is just plain tile. We focus on the tasks at hand. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait it out or use the lanterns. It’s a very local, practical way of working. People from the colony sometimes stop to ask for directions. We’ve been here for a bit now, so we know the local shops and where to get the best snacks. It’s just a normal workplace. We don't have any corporate jargon. We just work until the job is finished and then go home. It feels right to be here in this part of town. We don't need much else.
