Dilipkumar Swamy

Working out of the HAL Old Township in Bangalore is different from being in the middle of the city. My place is FB-55, and it’s right there in the HAL quarters. It’s an old area with lots of big trees and wide roads. You can hear the birds in the morning, which is a nice change from the traffic noise. The office for Dilipkumar Swamy is really just a part of the residence. It’s got that old-fashioned feel, with thick walls and high ceilings. I’ve lived and worked around here for years, so I know most of the people on this street. The pace is a little slower here, which I prefer. I spend a lot of my time at my desk, looking over papers or talking to people who stop by. We don't have any high-tech gadgets or a fancy reception area. It’s just a functional space where work happens. Sometimes the monsoon rains make the roof leak a little, but we just move the desk and keep going. Bangalore has changed a lot, but this township feels like it’s stayed the same. I go for a walk in the evening after I’m done with my chores. It’s a very grounded way to run a business. We aren't trying to be the biggest; we just want to get the job done right and stay busy enough. The garden outside needs weeding, but the work inside usually comes first.
