Diamond Agro Produce Inc.

Up at Shanthi Nagar Lamington Road 39/3, that is where you will find us at Diamond Agro Produce Inc. It is a busy part of the city, and our building is right there in the middle of all the noise and traffic. We deal with produce mostly, so things are always moving in and out depending on the season. The air inside usually smells a bit like earth and fresh greens, which is nice compared to the exhaust fumes outside on Lamington Road. We have a small crew that starts early, usually before the sun is fully up, to get everything sorted and ready for the day's buyers. It is a lot of heavy lifting and checking quality by hand. We don’t use any of those high-tech tracking systems; we mostly rely on notebooks and knowing our regulars by their first names. 39/3 is more of a warehouse and workspace than a showroom. It can get pretty cluttered when a big shipment arrives unexpectedly. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers, trying to figure out when the next truck will show up. Sometimes the weather messes with the schedules, but we just deal with it as it comes. It is hard work, and our clothes usually have a bit of dirt on them by the end of the shift. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just trying to keep the produce moving and the local shops stocked up for everyone.
