Dharsan Exports

Dharsan Exports is situated at New Tharagpet, right on Veer Nariman Road at 303/1. It’s a very busy part of the city. We are surrounded by other exporters and wholesalers doing similar work. Our office is on the third floor, so there’s a lot of climbing stairs since the lift is often out of order or stuck. We handle a lot of different goods destined for other places. It’s mostly about checking boxes and making sure the labels are correct. There are stacks of samples everywhere in the office. It looks a bit messy to an outsider, but we know where everything is. My assistant, Ravi, handles the logistics while I talk to the suppliers on the phone. We’ve been in this trade for quite some time now. We don't have a polished corporate look at all. The paint is peeling in some corners, and the furniture is pretty old. But it’s a functional space that works for us. We spend a lot of time on the phone or shouting to be heard over the noise. The sound from the street below is constant, with horns and people shouting. We don’t really have a brochure. People find us through our connections in the market. It’s all about who you know in the export business around here. We just try to get the orders out on time without too much trouble. Sometimes the port has delays, and we have to deal with the fallout. We usually get tea from the stall downstairs twice a day.
