Design Centre

Design Centre is over on Buddha Road in Jaibharathnagar, Bangalore. It’s a pretty quiet street compared to the main roads in the city, which is a relief. We are at number 30. The building is a standard Bangalore house that’s been converted into an office space. We have a few rooms dedicated to our design work. It’s not one of those high-tech startups with bean bags and free snacks. We just have regular desks, some decent chairs, and our computers. The neighborhood has a lot of trees, so it stays a bit cooler, but the Bangalore traffic still finds its way nearby. We hear the motorbikes and the occasional horn throughout the day. Our team is small, and we’ve been working out of this spot for several years now. We usually start the day with some coffee and a quick chat about what needs to be finished. There isn't a lot of formality here. If the doorbell rings, whoever is closest to the door goes to open it. We don't have a fancy website with big promises; we just do the work as it comes in. The shelves are full of old samples and books that we refer to. Sometimes we work late into the evening when there’s a deadline, and the street gets really still. It’s a nice place to work without the pressure of a big corporate environment. We just do our thing here in Jaibharathnagar and keep things moving.
