Our office is located at 88/41 Padmanabhanagar, right in the Ram Nagar area off Rander Road. It is a busy part of Surat, so there is always noise from the street coming through the windows. We started Derek Technology Solutions because we knew a lot about computers and people around here were always asking for help with their machines. It isn't a fancy corporate office with glass walls or anything. We have a few desks, some soldering irons, and a lot of tangled cables in the back room. Most days are spent looking at screens or trying to figure out why a piece of software isn't behaving. We take our time with the work. If a job takes three hours instead of one, we just do it. My cousin helps with the hardware side of things while I handle the typing and the client calls. Sometimes we have tea delivered from the stall down the street when we are working late. We don't have a big marketing team. Most people just find us by walking past or hearing about us from a neighbor who got their laptop fixed here. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fans going full blast. We just focus on getting the tech stuff sorted so people can go back to their work without more headaches.
