Dell International Services

We are located over at Jalvayu Vihar on Kamanhalli Main Road. Bangalore traffic is as bad as everyone says, so getting to the office in Hrbr Layout can take a while depending on the time of day. C-386 is where we set up. It’s a pretty standard setup with rows of desks and plenty of wires running everywhere. We handle international services, which basically means a lot of time spent on headsets or typing away. The building isn’t brand new, and you can tell by the way the elevator sometimes takes its time. We’ve got a small break area where the coffee machine is usually the center of attention, though it’s not the best coffee in the world. People here come from all over, and we just try to keep up with the workload. It gets pretty quiet when everyone is focused, then suddenly it’ll get loud when a shift changes. We don’t have those fancy bean bags or ping-pong tables you hear about in some offices. We just have our chairs and our screens. Sometimes the weather in Bangalore is so nice you wish you were outside instead of in here, but the work needs doing. We deal with a lot of technical stuff and customer requests. It’s a lot of problem-solving, really. We just take it one task at a time and try to stay on top of things. It’s a regular job for us, and we’re just part of the neighborhood now.
