Deepam Saree

We are located at 230 and 231 on the second floor, right near Devatha Market here in Chickpet. If you know the area, it gets pretty busy around here. People come to Deepam Saree looking for something specific or just to see what we have on the shelves today. It’s a bit of a climb to the second floor but that’s just how these old buildings are. We spend most of our time folding and unfolding different sarees. It’s what we do. The lighting in the shop isn't always perfect but you can see the colors well enough. Some days are loud with the street noise coming up from Chickpet and other days it’s a bit quieter. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. Most people find us because they were already shopping nearby at the market. There isn't much fancy about the place, just some racks and a counter where we talk to folks. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a break. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us making sure everything is where it belongs. It gets crowded on weekends, especially when weddings are coming up. We just keep busy with the stock. If you’re walking around near Devatha Market, you’ll see where we are. It’s just a regular shop doing its thing every day. We don't try to be something we aren't, we just open up and work.
