If you walk down towards 14-11-2 in Ghatlodia, you will find our small spot. Deepak Gift Centre has been in Lakkasandra for a long time, and honestly, the building shows its age a bit. We have boxes stacked up in the corners because more stock keeps coming in and we run out of shelf space. It is mostly just small household gifts and toys for kids. The lighting inside isn't the brightest, but you can see everything well enough. I usually sit near the front desk near the door to say hello to whoever walks in. Sometimes the kids from the school nearby stop by just to look at the shiny things. We don't mind. It makes the day go by faster. We keep a notebook to write down what people are looking for if we don't have it in stock. Usually, we can get it by the following week. Dealing with the wholesalers takes time, though. It’s a family-run place, so there isn't any big staff or anything like that. Just us. We close up for lunch for an hour every day around one o'clock. If the door is locked, we are probably just eating in the back room. People know to come back a bit later. It is a simple way to do things, but it works for us and the people living around here.
