Decan Airlines

Our office is on the first floor of a building in Chikkanayappa Garden, which is right behind Sowbhagya School in Bangalore. It is a bit of a maze to find us if you don't know the RT Nagar area well. Being so close to a school means we hear the bell ring every hour and the kids shouting during their breaks, which actually keeps the place feeling quite lively. We are Decan Airlines, but this isn't the airport; it’s where we handle the logistics and the admin side of the flying business. There are maps on the walls and a lot of schedules that we are constantly updating. It is a small space, 02 on the 1st floor, and it gets a bit cramped when the whole team is in for a meeting. We spend most of our time on the phone with ground staff or checking on maintenance logs. The tea man comes around twice a day and that’s usually when we take a break from the computers. It’s a lot of responsibility making sure things are on time, but we just take it one day at a time. The 1st Cross road outside is pretty narrow, so we usually walk from the main road where the bus drops us off. It is just a group of people who know a lot about planes and routes working in a quiet corner of Bangalore. We don't have a fancy lounge or anything, just plain desks.
