Dayawati Mushroom Caltivation Centre

If you head down to New Tharagpet in the Sanewadi area, you will find us at the Dayawati Mushroom Caltivation Centre. Our place is at 41275, and it’s mostly just a spot dedicated to growing things. Mushrooms take a lot of attention, so there is always someone here checking on the temperature or the moisture levels. It’s a bit of a messy job sometimes with all the bags and the compost, but that is just part of how it works. We aren't a big factory or anything, just a local center where we focus on the cultivation side of things. The air inside is usually a bit damp because that’s what the mushrooms like. We spend most of our time in the back where the actual growing happens. It’s quiet work for the most part, not like the noise you hear on the main streets of New Tharagpet. We started this because we wanted to see if we could make it work in this neighborhood. Most of the people around Sanewadi know what we do by now. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, just what is necessary to keep the crops healthy. It takes a lot of patience to wait for them to sprout up properly. Every day is a bit different depending on how the weather is outside. We just keep at it and hope for a good harvest. Sometimes the yield is great, other times it's just okay, but that's farming for you.
