Our spot is at No.326 on the Kanakapura Main Road. It’s a busy location because of all the traffic moving in and out of the city. The noise from the horns and the rumbling of the buses is constant, but you stop noticing it after a while. The building we’re in is nothing special to look at. We’ve kept the inside very functional. We focus on the food and don't spend much on the decor. Most of our day is spent prepping ingredients for the next set of orders. We have a small staff, and we’re more like a group of friends than coworkers. We don’t have any fancy titles. I usually handle the accounts and talk to the customers who drop in. The table I use is an old one I got second-hand, and it wobbles if you lean on it too hard. We don't have a website or a social media manager. We just rely on the fact that people see our sign while they’re stuck in traffic on Kanakapura Road. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to finish our work by candlelight, which is a bit of a challenge when you're trying to measure ingredients. We just do the best we can with what we have. It’s a practical, no-frills kind of place. We finish the work, clean up the stove, and head home once the last order is gone.
