D Srinivasa Murthy

I've been here at 88/1 Malleshwaram for a while now. It's on 20th Main, right there at the 53rd Cross in the 5th Block. Most people know the Shubh Arcade building. D Srinivasa Murthy is just the name on the door, really. We spend most of our mornings opening up and getting things ready before the heat sets in. The traffic outside can get a bit loud, but inside it’s mostly just us doing what needs to be done. It’s not a fancy place or anything. Sometimes the lift in Shubh Arcade acts up, so we just take the stairs. My desk is usually covered in papers and coffee mugs. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. New shops come and go, but we’re still here at this same spot. People stop by to ask for directions or just to say hello. It's a busy corner of Malleshwaram. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure the work gets finished. Sometimes we stay late when there's a lot to catch up on. It gets quiet in the arcade after six. I usually walk down the street to grab a snack in the afternoon. It’s a simple routine, nothing too exciting to write about. We just keep at it day after day. If you're looking for us, look for the sign near the entrance. We're usually around from early morning until the sun goes down and the shops close.
