You can find us in Basavanagudi, at Erandwane 21/1. This neighborhood has a lot of history, and it feels like a good place for an architecture practice. Our office is tucked away, and it’s usually filled with the smell of paper and maybe some ink. We aren't a massive firm with hundreds of employees. It’s a more personal setup here. We spend our days sketching out ideas and looking at how buildings fit into the streets around them. Architecture is a lot of back and forth, trying to get a window in the right place or making sure a staircase isn't too steep. We deal with the local authorities and contractors, which is always a bit of a process. The office itself is a bit cluttered with models and old rolls of drawings from years ago. We don't like to throw things away if they might be useful later. It’s just how we work. People come in to talk about houses they want to build or small office buildings, and we just sit down with a pencil and start working it out. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything like that. Word usually gets around by people just seeing what we’ve built in the neighborhood. It's a simple, local way of doing things. We just try to get the measurements right and keep the site visits regular.
