D Damodaran

D Damodaran is the name on the door here at 2 Marutisevanagar. We are up on the first floor. It’s a small building, not many people around most of the time. The stairs are a bit narrow, so you have to be careful coming up. We’ve been in Marutisevanagar for quite a while now. It’s a decent area, mostly residential houses and a few small shops like ours. We don't have any flashy lights or big banners. We just have the name and the address. The room we work in gets a lot of sunlight in the afternoon, which is nice but it can get a bit warm. We have a ceiling fan that’s always running. Most of our days are spent talking to people or checking on things. It’s a straightforward business. We don't try to be anything we’re not. Just local people doing local work. Sometimes the neighbors come by just to chat for a minute. It’s that kind of place. We have a small balcony where we keep some potted plants, though we forget to water them sometimes. If you’re looking for us, just find the number 2 on the street. It’s easy to miss if you’re driving fast. We’ve been here long enough that most of the postmen know us by name. It’s a quiet life and we like it that way. No big corporate rules, just doing what needs doing every day. We usually lock up and head out before it gets too dark.
